To Our Ferocious Teddy Bear Family,

I hope this letter finds your family healthy and optimistic. All North Polk faculty and staff wish to express our appreciation for our amazing Ferocious Teddy Bear families who continue to communicate often with teachers and administrators.

Our state and district leaders have been in constant communication as it relates to ensuring that the physical and educational needs of our students are being met in the days to come. For our part, we are determined to help ease the strain of trying to find reliable resources for home learning activities.

Vernon Parish Schools will be offering supplemental learning options in two formats: online and in print. These materials are to support and reinforce content previously taught to your child and are aligned to our state’s standards. While this will not take the place of regular classroom instruction, we encourage our students and families to utilize these resources to supplement learning at home. These items are for enrichment purposes only. Completed work will not need to be returned to the school. For all information and resources as it pertains to our district, online learning resources, and the COVID-19 pandemic visit www.vpsb.us. This website will be updated as new information is released.

Schools throughout the district will continue to be closed.

We will strive to keep our North Polk community well-informed during this time. Thank you for your flexibility, patience, and cooperation. Take care of yourselves and one another. Please do not hesitate to email me at lee.coriell@vpsb.us with questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Lee Coriell Principal
